Richard B. Cheney a prominent public servant and a businessman is vice-president of the United States. Cheney known as a popular figure within Washington politics, has served under four presidents of the United States. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush has nominated Cheney to be his vice president running partner in July of 2001. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom as well as his judgment and expertise. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for the president, served as an elected Member of Congress and served as secretary of defence. He's a man of integrity whom is admired by Republicans and Democrats. Cheney said that his job as a member of the Bush administration is to be an honest but quiet advisor. When he accepted the Republican vice-presidential nod Cheney declared that he's looking forward to serving with an administration that will strive to get things done by working across the political aisle and working with political opponents to achieve a mutual goal. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30th 1941) was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been married with Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. In 1941, when Richard Bruce Cheney was 13 the family of Richard Bruce Cheney left Lincoln Nebraska and moved to Casper Wyoming in the state where his father headed his position as the head of U.S. Department of Agriculture's local soil conservation districts.
