Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She holds the record for being awarded 10/10 marks at an Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at the age of six. Comaneci would go on to become the Romanian gymnastics coach. The first time she competed was at the national junior championships in which she was 13th place in the year 1969. In the year 1970, she was crowned champion. The first time she competed in an international competition, which was a preolympics junior competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975 she was crowned all-around Junior Champion. In 1975, she won four golds and one silver medal in her debut senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. She was the first woman ever to successfully perform the backwards double salto when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in the entertainment industry in her teens in which she was a part of an ice skating duo along with her twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her career in the world of entertainment when she was a teenager. She began her career as model skater with her twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows named Ice Capades. The show featured dramatic ice skating shows.
