Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy de Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents who were a dentist and a school teacher helped and encouraged her initial passion for drama and theatre. She initially hoped to be a monkey expert was surpassed by her desire to learn about drama and theater. As a young woman the rise to fame was rapid and marked with early recognition and success. It was only in 1999 after which she began acting professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou took part in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and was a student there from an early age, has disavowed her Catholic upbringing. Now, she claims to be a non-Catholic. In addition to acting, she pursued modelling and was the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. Photography is another hobby and she has recently displayed her work in the Arles festival under the name Superficial. Through her photography, she is mainly focused on celebrities and fame. Cameras are focused at journalists, who sat and watched her during her rise to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's global success and fame soared after her role in the film as Amelie Poulain's lead woman in Le Fabuleux of Amelie Poulain. Amelie won international acclai box office success and was acclaimed at awards ceremonies all over the world. It's the biggest French language film ever on the US. Following this massive success, Tautou went on to star in numerous films, which included British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
